Many Minibeasts!

One of the topics that Year 2 study during the year is minibeasts. This is mainly a Science topic and the girls recently extended their classrooms studies at Kingsbury Water Park, which they had enjoyed.

They have written all about ladybirds in little booklets shaped like the insect and have created art work too.

The topic also provides an opportunity to learn some songs on the same theme. They have worked really hard on learning many facts and songs and presented them to a delighted audience of parents and friends at the end of last week in the Octagon.

The girls performed with great enthusiasm and confidence and everyone left with ‘100 Pairs of Socks’ playing in their heads.

Who would have guessed there were so many songs and poems about minibeasts?
