Linguists Get Creative for The Challenge of China

This week a keen group of Mandarin students took part in the Business Language Champions event 'The Challenge of China'. The girls were challenged to market a very British product – Eccles Cakes – to the Chinese market. They were required to make a live phone call in Mandarin, write a confirmatory email, and make a leaflet and a video to advertise their product (see below).
The girls worked really well together as a team, and it was great to see the more confident Mandarin speakers supporting and encouraging the younger girls. Our team didn’t win but all of them had a lot of fun participating.
