Gardeners Prepare for Allotment Open Day

Year 5 Gardening Club girls had a lovely time on Tuesday, thoroughly enjoying the summer sunshine. They happily came home with their first harvest of the year from seeds they had planted earlier. They came home with salad leaves, onions, radishes and coriander. They even harvested their first strawberries. They are now looking forward to harvesting the early potatoes that will be ready in the next couple of weeks.
If anyone is interested in visiting the allotment over the summer holiday to see all the lovely produce we grow and offer a helping hand, you are invited to join us on Saturday 29 July. We have a visitor from ‘It’s your Neighbourhood’ competition coming to see the allotment and it would be great to have any members of the school community there to support.
