EHS girls achieve impressive A Level results

Senior School | Sixth Form

16 August 2019

Edgbaston High School is proud to announce excellent A Level results this year, with a 100% pass rate.

•    43.2% of grades at A*/A.
•    76.9% of grades at A*/A/B.
•    19.6% of the cohort achieved 3 or more A* or A grades.

Dr Weeks said: “I send my warmest congratulations to the Class of 2019 on their success. We are delighted with the excellent results achieved by this committed and hard working group of girls and I would like to thank our dedicated teaching staff for supporting them throughout the last two years.

“Of course, the girls leave EHS with more than just academic results. They leave having made valuable contributions to the life of the school, and with a firm grasp of their ambitions and the determination to achieve them. I am sure too that they have forged friendships that will last a lifetime.”

EHS has always sought to recognise and support each girl’s individual ambitions, whatever they may be. Diversity of interests and talents is demonstrated in the range of institutions and subjects evident in the leavers’ destinations, with girls securing places at a range of top universities, amongst them Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Nottingham and UCL, to study a wide variety of subjects including Architecture, Fashion Design, Forensic Science, History, Medicine, Philosophy and Psychology, and Sport Science.

Dr Weeks said: “We are very proud of all of our girls today. They deserve continued success beyond EHS, and we wish them every happiness.”
