Celebration on GCSE Results Day

Senior School | Sixth Form | Parents

26 August 2022

The hard work and commitment of our pupils has been recognised as we celebrated a fantastic set of GCSE results this week.

65% of entries have been awarded at the most sought-after grades 9, 8, 7 (equivalent to A*/A). An impressive 35% of students achieved 10 or more grades at 9, 8 and 7. These results are a reflection of the determination of our pupils, the dedication of teaching staff and the support of our parent community.

Clare Macro, Headmistress commented: “I am delighted to celebrate in our pupils’ success this morning. They have done exceptionally well during what has been a tumultuous period of their education, demonstrating remarkable maturity and resilience. I am so proud of each one of them.

“I would like to thank the teaching staff for their focus and dedication, especially over the course of consecutive periods of lockdown. Their commitment to teaching remotely, their encouragement and support, and their regard for the emotional wellbeing of our pupils has been invaluable and has clearly contributed to the girls’ accomplishments.”

The pupils’ GCSE achievements leave them well-placed for further success and we can’t wait to see what they achieve as they look towards their A Level studies in the Sixth Form. Congratulations to them all!
