Alumnae Return for Sixth Form Futures Event

Sixth Form

19 April 2024

On Wednesday, we hosted our Futures event for Year 11 students, offering guidance as they anticipate transitioning to Sixth Form following their GCSE examinations.

The evening provided an invaluable opportunity for Year 11 pupils to delve deeper into life at Sixth Form and understand how EHS equips its students for the challenges beyond Year 13. Presentations from our staff centred around the comprehensive support and structured framework of the EHS Sixth tutorial programme, alongside the tailored provisions for Higher Education and Careers, including a thorough overview of the UCAS application process.

We were privileged to hear from a diverse range of speakers, including both current and former students.

We were particularly delighted to welcome back four ‘EHS Laurels’, former students Tahani Baldwin, Isobel Jones, Abigail Tomlinson, and Lauren Gillot, who graciously shared their personal journeys and invaluable insights into their time in the Sixth Form, their university experiences and preparations for their chosen career paths. They all spoke brilliantly and their reflections served as relatable inspiration for our current students. It was fantastic to have them back in school and we are grateful to them for their support in the ongoing journeys of our students.
