Treat and Challenge

Year 6 enjoyed a great afternoon on Monday 19 October thanks to the EHS Parents’ Association, and the playing fields proved to be the perfect venue for the various challenges ahead of the girls.

There were three activities provided. The astro-turf was the venue for the team building challenge. The girls had to work together in groups and share their problem solving skills to be able to achieve the end goals.

The second challenge, perhaps the most daunting for some girls, was the climbing wall. It did not phase them however as they scampered confidently up the wall, with many reaching the top. What was most impressive was the encouragement the girls gave to each other as they were waiting their turn.

The third challenge involved learning a new skill, that of Archery. The girls listened carefully to the instructions and then tried their hand at hitting the target. There were many successful shots.

The afternoon ended with another treat as everyone was able to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate.
