Successful Readathon for Year 7

Over the course of the summer holiday, new Year 7 girls were invited to take part in a sponsored read. Provided with a reading list that included literary classics such as Peter Pan by J.M Barrie; The Wizard of Oz by Frank L Baum; Five Children and It by E. Nesbit alongside new releases by the likes of Katherine Randell, the list was well-received by the girls who couldn’t wait to get started.
Last Friday, Year 7 spent the afternoon in forms discussing the long lists of books they had read (while tucking into some sweet treats), writing ‘Tweet’ style book reviews and partaking in a book challenge quiz.
Year 7 raised a huge amount of money for Edward’s Trust, a charity which supports bereaved families.
