Students celebrate A level success

Sixth Form

16 August 2018

Students at Edgbaston High School are celebrating another year of A level results success with 26% of grades at A*/A and 57% at A*/A/B. 14% of the cohort achieved 3 or more A* or A grades. The pass rate was 100%.

The outgoing Year 13 will take up places at a range of top universities, amongst them Cambridge, Edinburgh and Nottingham, to study a diverse range of subjects including Accountancy, Classics and Zoology.

Headmistress Dr Ruth Weeks said: "We are very proud of our girls and I pass on my congratulations to them and to the dedicated teachers who have supported them over the last two years. Their success is the result of a conscientious approach to learning, which is especially commendable in the context of this year’s more challenging A level examinations. I am delighted that the girls’ efforts have paid off and wish them all the very best as they embark on the next stage of their education.”

We look forward to our GCSE results next week.
