Celebrating National Numeracy Day

Girls in Reception really enjoy their numeracy lessons each day and Wednesday gave them the opportunity to celebrate working with numbers on National Numeracy Day.
They have learnt numbers up to 20 and beyond and they revised their counting skills with the class number line. They also played a range of games which included the under water counting game on the interactive board; competing in the 'Insey Winsey Spider' game; playing dominoes and using the number squares to count to 35!
At the end of the Numeracy lesson, they had a game of Bingo! This was a fun way of learning to recognise higher numbers.
The girls discovered that numbers are all around us and they never stop!
