Animal Magic
20 May 2022
Girls and staff from Nursery through to Reception took part in a day visit from Animals in Hands this week.
Mo, the animal keeper encouraged the girls at every step of the way and taught them so many new and interesting facts about the animals he had brought.
They were introduced to Ollie the white faced scops owl and Blake, the velvet chinchilla from South Africa who had fur that was as soft as cotton wool! Priya, Holly and
Hannah the guinea pigs were a huge hit with the girls being quite relaxed in handling them.
Touching Charlotte, the pink toe tarantula, and Greta, the corn snake, needed a little more courage, but most of the girls were brave and up for the challenge!
Tiny the lesser tenrec, a mammal from Madagascar and Milo the bearded dragon were slightly different to handle and were not quite as soft as some of the other animals!
Mo said our girls were braver than boys when handling the animals and they recounted the details of their experiences with great enthusiasm.
