A Touch of French Chic for Year 6!

As the Year 6 Prep girls did not travel to France this year, we decided to give them a flavour of France in school.

They took part in an array of activities during the French week. They enjoyed the virtual Tour of Paris where they navigated their way via an online tool through the various sights of Paris.

The girls learnt also about Coco Chanel and created their own designs which they paraded in a fashion show. Some may be future fashion designers in the making! A French lip sync battle was enhanced through use of the Green Screen in which they created a French pop video. The girls also tried their hands at mime and the cancan. There was a French quiz, a treasure hunt, a blind trail and a game of Petanque (French bowls). They even played French cricket in P.E.!

As well as a French picnic and French breakfast, complete with some stunning fancy dress outfits, the activities culminated in a visit from a French-dressed ice-cream man. The weather was kind to us and much fun was had by all.

Prizes for different aspects of the week will be awarded in due course. Activities were documented in a scrapbook, which will no doubt serve as an unforgettable keepsake of not only French Enrichment, but also their time at EHS Prep.
