Together We Raised £7,354! A Look Back at an Incredible Term of Giving
11 July 2025
Today, we are both very proud to share the charity report for this last term, highlighting all the amazing fundraising efforts that have taken place at our school. Thanks to your generosity, energy and kindness, we’ve helped to make a real difference. But first, a recap of this terms fundraisers:
In May, we kicked off our summer term fundraising with a non-uniform day in support of the International Nepal Fellowship. Thanks to everyone who took part, we raised £251 for this incredible charity, which supports the most disadvantaged people and communities in Nepal, aiming to improve health, reduce poverty and promote social inclusion. Year 10 also contributed to this charity with their catch-up non-uniform day, raising £76.
The staff made a fantastic contribution to fundraising this term with a cake sale, raising £12, and the staff rounders event, raising £57, where Mrs Batchelor’s team retained their title and held onto the much-coveted trophy! On the theme of cake, thank you to all who donated and came to cheer on staff for the House Bake Off Competition. A special well done to both Miss Roberts and Miss O’Brien for winning the competition for St Francis with their outstanding vegetable patch-themed cake.
Once again, our school came together for our annual Hayday’s Heroes House Football event, celebrating the memory of EHS’s biggest football fan, the much-loved and missed Ms Hayday. Players of the match energised themselves with a variety of sweet treats, with all money raised supporting the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK. Through both staff and student efforts, we raised an incredible £300. Thank you so much to all involved for your generosity in support of such a worthy cause.
Our final fundraising event of the year was Sports Day. Well done to everyone who took part in events for their house. We hope you all enjoyed a well-earned ice cream after such a busy academic year! In total, through multiple events, an outstanding £1,110 will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
It’s been a truly inspiring few months, and we are so grateful for everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity in supporting these amazing causes. Thank you to all who participated and helped make these fundraising efforts such a success! We’re looking forward to announcing some of the upcoming events for the new academic year soon – so keep an eye out.
Our charity total for this academic year is £7,354, including an incredible £1,524 from this last term. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with this incredible achievement and we look forward to raising even more in the upcoming events next year.
