Honouring a Legacy: Marissa Receives This Term’s Hayday Award

A couple of weeks ago we had the second of the annual Hayday’s Heroes House Football competitons. Alongside that in Religious Studies we present the ‘Hayday Award’ in memory of Miss Hayday. It’s awarded termly to the GCSE RS student who we feel embodies some of the spirit and character that Miss Hayday brought to school life.
Alongside an enthusiasm for stretching the minds of students, Miss Hayday had a remarkable ability to recognise students who might go under the radar. With that in mind we were delighted to present this award to Marissa S (Year 10) who shows fantastic intellectual curiosity. She’s prepared to think beyond the limits of the specification and frequently raises challenging questions, all whilst approaching all aspects of lessons in a diligent and conscientious manner. Well done Marissa!
