Dear Members of the Old Girls' Association,

It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.   

Queen Elizabeth was a constant in all of our lives, acting as an outstanding role model in her commitment to service, duty and caring for others. We recognise her lifelong devotion to public service here in the United Kingdom as well as in the Commonwealth and across the whole world. 

The School joins the nation in a period of mourning. Teaching staff will speak to pupils in the coming days about the life of this remarkable individual and how the country will collectively mourn her passing. The school will also provide opportunities to focus on an inspirational life well-lived, including opening a book of condolences for those who wish to share their thoughts.  

We are sure you join us in sending our heartfelt condolences to Queen Elizabeth II's family and friends at this sad time.
