Mathematicians Head to Maths Fest

A group of enthusiastic Sixth Form Mathematicians embarked on an educational journey to London to participate in Maths Fest 2024, held in Mayfair. The event, which took place recently, offered a rich tapestry of mathematical insights and discussions.
Among the notable speakers were renowned figures in the field of mathematics including Matt Parker, Silvia Butti, Steve Mould, Alison Kiddle, James Grime, and Ben Sparks. Their presentations covered a wide array of topics ranging from the intricacies of risk and reward to mathematical paradoxes and constant width.
Attendees also had the opportunity to engage in an exam preparation workshop, where valuable tips and strategies were shared.
It was a rewarding day, and once again emphasised how Maths is all around us!
