Nursery pupils have been extending their skills in all areas of the curriculum with many of the activities based around the nursery rhyme ‘Polly Put the Kettle On’.

The girls have enjoyed role play including making drinks and preparing for a tea party. They put the tea set into the water tray with some tea bags and had lots of fun pouring liquid and consolidating the vocabulary full, empty and more.

Mrs Aulak helped the girls to make a cup of tea which they drank from the grown ups’ cups and saucers being very careful, of course! What a treat!

After practising making tea, the weekly cooking lesson gave them the opportunity to make scones.  Then after writing invitations to the tea party in the ‘have a go’ writing lesson, all was ready.

In Mathematics sessions during the week the focus has been on studying the number 2, including rainbow writing. They also further developed their visual discrimination skills by finding the odd one out in lots of different ways.
