Kindergarten Have Balanceability

Westbourne

09 February 2024

We are delighted to announce the introduction of Balanceability to our Kindergarten curriculum.

Balanceability is a revolutionary approach to teaching young children the fundamental skills of balance and coordination, providing a solid foundation for future physical activities such as cycling. Through a series of fun and engaging activities, our girls will learn to balance, glide, and eventually ride pedal bikes with confidence and ease.

The benefits of Balanceability are abundant and far-reaching. Not only does it improve gross motor skills, but it also enhances spatial awareness, concentration, and self-confidence. By mastering the art of balance, our Kindergarten girls will gain a sense of accomplishment and independence, setting them on a path to success both in and out of the classroom.

We believe that introducing Balanceability at this early stage will lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of physical activity and adventure. As we head into the summer term, we have high hopes that our girls will be pedalling their way to new heights, exploring the world around them with their newfound freedom and joy.

At Edgbaston High School for Girls, we are committed to providing our students with opportunities to thrive and excel in all aspects of their lives. Through initiatives like Balanceability, we empower our girls to embrace challenges, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential.

So let's cheer on our Kindergarten girls as they embark on this exciting journey discovering the joy of cycling. With determination, perseverance, and a sprinkle of fun, there's no limit to what they can achieve!

Thank you to EHSPA, our Parents’ Association for providing the set of bikes enabling the girls to benefit from this additional experience.
