Students Explore Potential Pathways to Success

Sixth Form

19 May 2023

Aspiring Progression sessions for Year 12 have launched this week, as part of the ongoing Careers programme for Senior School students. The aim of these sessions is to prepare students by providing them with knowledge and full understanding of all the options available to them after Year 13 and beyond. The sessions also aim to build skills and confidence in students, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future career plans.

All pathways for competitive courses and universities are covered in the sessions, including degree apprenticeships, Oxbridge, humanities, medical and all health care careers, and creative and performing arts. A talk takes place with a different area focus during lunchtime each week, and students are given time to ask any questions they may have. The sessions are well attended and subject matter is student-led. Further directed support is given to enable students to research and plan effectively to make informed decisions about which is the right path for them.

The programme expands in the Summer Term with a full schedule of events for students to look forward to. These events will include guest speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities. The aim of these events is to provide students with even more information and support as they make decisions about their future.
