Examination Board: AQA Specification A
The study of Psychology at AS and A2 is designed to develop the students' basic understanding of the breadth of different approaches in Psychology. Through the study of psychological theories, concepts and research, students will develop an understanding of the principles and perspectives governing the subject.
Psychology provides a useful preparation for any degree or job. Careers in Psychology include Clinical Psychologist, Sports Psychologist and Counsellor, as well as being particularly valuable as a preparartion for Medicine, Law, Social Work, Teaching and Journalism. Many former EHS students are currently pursuing a variety of post-graduate degrees courses and combining this with employment as assistant psychologists in areas such as neuropsychological assessment in the Nottingham Traumatic Brain Injury service.
Entry Requirements:
Grade A* - C in Mathematics/Science and English. Continuation onto Advanced GCSE (A2) Level will take into account the students' attendance record as well as internal and external assessment results.
