Physical Education

Physical Education covers a wide range of disciplines but particularly focuses on participation and performances in Sport.

Students will take a lead role in assessing their competence as a performer, coach and official, developing a comprehensive understanding of elite performances.

Students will cover a range of subject areas including Physiology, historical and contemporary studies and data analysis. Students will be encouraged to review their current participation and performance in Sport, indentifying opportunities locally and nationally for them to advance and ultimately create a life plane linked to sport participations and health.

Entry Requirements:

· GCSE Grade A or above.

· Participation in a team/club outside school

· A desire to undertake the Community Sports Leadership Award course would be invaluable.

· Candidates must have an interest in the broad spectrum of sport.
