Media Studies
Examination Board: Welsh Joint Education Committee (WJEC)
Media Studies deals with the analysis of media representations and responses, examining genre, narrative/technical codes, and media language. Representations of gender, age, ethnicity and identity are explored. This might translate into a study, for example, of television drama or the conventions of the music industry. These topics are tested through the end of course examination, whilst the coursework element explores production processes.
