Critical Thinking
Examination Board: OCR
Critical Thinking is an optional AS Course.
Critical Thinking is a skills-based course suitable for students from any subject discipline. It builds on the Year 11 Level 2 Thinking and Reasoning Skills course, although it is also possible to study it as a new subject. However, as it is taught in fewer lessons than the main A Level choices, it requires considerable commitment and the ability to cope confidently with academic work. It is therefore recommended that students opting for this subject have gained a high proportion of A and A* grades at GCSE.
Critical Thinking is also available as an option A2 Course in Year 13 upon attainment of a high grade at AS Level.
