Life in the Sixth Form

Being a Sixth Former at EHS is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in your school career.

Our Sixth Form is a positive and welcoming environment designed for independent study, the forging of strong relationships and the encouragement of responsibility and leadership.

Former students characterise the Sixth Form as an intense period of study coupled with the chance to develop confidence, get involved in school life through leadership and mentoring activities and take on new challenges through the enrichment programme.

On joining the Sixth Form you will be placed in a tutor group of approximately 12 students and your personal tutor will be your principal advisor and staff contact throughout your two years here. Your timetable will be structured to cover subject lessons, sessions on 'thinking skills', an enrichment programme and tutorials, all of which are compulsory.

In this section you can find out more about how learning is planned and delivered, the extra-curricular opportunities on offer, how girls are supported to move onto the next stage of their education or employment and our teaching staff. This section also contains practical information including the Sixth Form dress code and term dates.
