Duke of Edinburgh

Recognised as the world's leading achievement for young people, the Duke of Edinburgh Award is a real adventure from beginning to end and provides an enjoyable and challenging programme of personal development for many EHS girls.

Girls have the opportunity to take the programme at three levels - Bronze, Silver or Gold - which leads to a Duke of Edinburgh Award. Girls achieve an Award by completing a personal programme of activities in four sections (five for those taking their Gold Award).

Activities include volunteering, personal physical fitness, developing existing talents, trying something new, planning, training and completing an expedition, or staying and working away from home as part of a team.
