The House System

The Preparatory School houses are named after pioneering women in history who broke the mould and changed expectations of women for ever: Curie, Frank, Johnson and Nightingale.They were introduced relatively recently when Mrs Laura Bartlett became Head of Lower School in 1994.

There are general knowledge, swimming and sporting inter-house competitions. Pupils may gain house points for their academic work, good manners and helpfulness and an Inter-House cup is awarded annually. Year 6 House Captains are voted for by their houses and lead House assemblies termly.
