At the Association's AGM on 18 June 2009, Mrs Anne Howarth (Stirling 1954 - 61), stepped down as Chairman after three very successful years managing the Committee and Association. In this period the Association has developed both its membership and the means by which it communicates with it and made steps forward in including Old Girls of all eras at events in and out of Birmingham. Effusive thanks were given to Mrs Howarth at the AGM for all her efforts though she continues as a Committee member.
Mrs Helen Holmes (Maros 1980 - 85), a Committee member for a number of years and the Editor of 'Laurel Leaves', was appointed the new Chair of the Association at the meeting:
It was with great pleasure that I accepted the position of Chairman of the Old Girls' Association, at the AGM in June. It was a lovely warm evening, and great to see so many faces of Old Girls and teachers alike.
