On Wednesday the girls in Prep Gardening Club had to dig up the potatoes they had been growing as part of the schools' competition. The two kinds of potatoes had to be harvested, washed and weighed. The resulting weights were then sent in to try to win prizes for an allotment. As shown in the photos the Rocket potatoes weighed roughly 1300g and the Vales Emerald potatoes about 850g. The girls took them home along with lettuce and strawberries that were ready for picking.
