Transport Information

Transport to and from EHS is provided by a number of different companies and some of the routes are very kindly overseen by parents. Pupils in the Preparatory School are escorted into school by Senior pupils and are taken to the bus at the end of the school day by school staff.

Payment is negotiated directly with the company or parent named. Contact details for the various routes are given below.

Please note that there may be the chance to add additional transport routes, subject to demand. Please contact the School to register your interest.

Routes

Bromsgrove/Barnt Green  

This route is subject to sufficient demand. A service covering Catshill, Barnt Green, Cofton Hackett, Blackwell and Northfield. Route varies according to demand.

New American School Style Service

Subject to sufficient demand, VIP Contracts are offering a new service collecting pupils directly from their homes and  returning them to the same address at the end of the day. Travel will be in a 33-seater coach with seat belts and CRB checked drivers.

Routes offered:

1) Hall Green, Kings Heath, Moseley

2) Great Barr, Handsworth Wood, Handsworth, Hockley

West Midlands Travel - Buses to and from the school

Buses leave school from Westbourne Road. The bus stop is outside the Botanical Gardens, just next door to the school:

Number 103 From Birmingham to Woodgate Valley via Harborne
Number 10 From Birmingham to Quinton Road West via Augustus Road
Number 21 From Birmingham to Bangham Pit via Birmingham University
Number 22 From Birmingham to Kitwell via Harborne
Number 23 From Birmingham to Woodgate via Harborne
Number 25 From Birmingham to Woodgate via Harborne
Number 29 From Birmingham to Northfield via Weoley Castle
  All the above connections go along Harborne Road into Birmingham and stop at Colmore Row. Connections for Handsworth and Great Barr leave from Bull Street - no.s 16, 16A and 16N. The 995 for Walsall leaves from Dale End.

Number 1

 

From Birmingham to Acocks Green along Calthorpe Road, via Moseley, crossing Bristol Road to connect with services to Longbridge, Rubery and Rednal (no.s 61, 62, 62N and 63). This bus also crosses Pershore Road to connect with services to West Heath and Turves Green.

Number 8

 

Along the Inner Circle down to Ladywood Middleway to Five Ways Station, crossing Stratford Road to connect with service no.s 83, 4, 5, 5N and 6 which go to Shirley, Solihull and Widney.
Train connections From Five Ways Station cross-city line from Lichfield to Redditch, change at New Street Station for Wolverhampton, Hagley, Stourbridge and Kidderminster.
