Academic Scholarship

Sixth Form Academic Scholarships, up to the value of 30% fee remission, are awarded each year to current pupils by internal review and external candidates by examination. Internal candidates are assessed on performance in the December Mock GCSE examinations and by an interview for those who are short listed. (Some further minor scholarships are sometimes awarded each August, following results.)

External candidates take examination papers in two subjects that they have chosen for A Level study and are then given an interview. A report is also requested from their current school.

We also have Art, Music, Performing Arts and Sports Scholarships available to girls entering the Sixth Form.

Assessment dates are as below:

Sports Scholarships - Interviews: Wednesday11January 2012, from 4.00pm onwards
Music Scholarships - Auditions and Interviews: Friday 13 January 2012
Art Scholarships - Assessment Day: Saturday 14 January 2012, at 9.00am
Performing Arts Scholarships - Auditions and Interviews: Saturday 14 January 2012, at 1.00pm
Academic Scholarships - Examination for External Candidates: Saturday 14 January 2012, at 9.00am
